Bobs Cove
Probably one of the most Instagrammed walks in Queenstown, you’ll get 360 views of lake Whakatipu, native bush, bird song and a jetty that is great to jump off for a swim on a hot day, this walk has a bit of everything. This is a pet-friendly track that also has a great bay to sit and have your lunch in while you skim stones and admire the crystal clear waters.

Lake Hayes Loop
The Lake Hayes loop track is one that is popular with locals and visitors too! it’s a beautiful walk that surrounds Lake Hayes. If it’s a calm day, there are reflections of the area onto the lake which are truly spectacular. The two-hour walk winds around the lake edge and above the lake looking towards the Remarkables, it's up and down but most people find it pretty doable and you’ll be distracted by the scenery anyway!

Kelvin Heights Loop
Conveniently located very close to Driftaway Queenstown, the Kelvin Heights Peninsula Trail is a great short walk for any age and ability. It is a loop track around the Queenstown Golf Course with views of Walter Peak, the Frankton Arm and Cecil Peak. It’s a great stroll to do alone or with others and you’ll often catch people walking their dogs along here too.

Queenstown Gardens
Queenstown Gardens is a great wheelchair accessible track and has amazing plantings and flowers year round. Enjoy frisbee golf, a great playground, bowls, ice skating or simply stop and smell the flowers, the Queenstown Gardens have something for everyone. Great for a Sunday stroll or pack a picnic and spend the afternoon here.

Arrowtown River Trail
We’ve said it before and we'll say it again, no trip to Queenstown is complete without a drive out to Arrowtown. This leisurely 4.2km loop track takes you through beautiful woods and along the clear flowing river. Autumn is our favourite time to visit Arrowtown, the colours of the leaves are like something out of a watercolour painting and truly make your jaw drop. Winter is beautiful too, the river forms Ice and the trees are decorated in ice crystals. As long as you rug up (and bring one of Patagonia's famous Belgian hot chocolates with you), this is one for the photo album.
